What we don’t name has power over us. What we name, we can reconcile, integrate, release, and respond to. When we befriend instead of exile, what we fear loses power over us. The sculptures in this show invite us to turn towards instead of away from the monstrous: to stay present, witness, feel, and to do the hard work of transforming ourselves and our society.

Wander around a carnival and you'll see it all: beauty, heartbreak, gaudiness, mystery, ugliness the pleasures are simultaneously cheap and dear.
An eerie nostalgia is baked into both a Polaroid photograph and into the carnival experience.
