Japanese Pop Art and Moment in Light
Solo Exhibition by Kimiko Donohoe
Opening Reception: Friday, September 5th, 5-8pm
On View September 6th-October 3rd
“This exhibit is to show viewers my interest in expressing the beauty of nature; a moment of light through my landscape paintings and Japanese Pop art. In Japanese Pop art, I would like to introduce viewers to experience the dramatic colors of Ukiyo-e, and Japanese culture with a sense of humor. Ukiyo-e has shaped my view of thinking about abstract paintings into my own unique designs and palette." - Artist Kimiko Donohoe

Visible Mending
Friday, September 26th, 5:00pm-7:30pm, with Heidi Weeks
For ages 10+, open to all level artists with no experience necessary Learn the art of visible mending—a creative and sustainable way to repair your favorite garments. Using hand-stitching techniques inspired by Japanese boro and sashiko traditions, you’ll practice patching, reinforcing, and embellishing worn fabric with intention. This is slow stitching as meditation and self-expression, all while keeping clothing out of the landfill. No sewing experience necessary—just bring something in need of mending and a willingness to stitch outside the lines.
