Gray Matters
Solo Exhibition of Monoprints by Karen J. Axtell
Opening Reception: Friday, October 17th, 5-7pm
On View October 17th - November 21st
Karen Axtell is a printmaker and painter whose work has been exhibited throughout the region over the past four decades. She studied at Portland School of Art, and worked with a papermaker and printmaker in Portland, Maine, before receiving a BFA at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Multilingual Family Clay Ornament Workshop
December 13th, 10am - 12pm
With Laisa Bellomo-Johnson
For English, Spanish, and Portuguese-speaking families!
Discover and play with clay as a family, creating lifelong memories and cherished ceramic ornaments. Families will learn the basics of creating hanging ornaments, which Artspace will glaze and fire in our kiln
Registration is required: $20/Child & Adult duo, $5 for each additional artist in your family

Sunday Figure Drawing Group
The Figure Drawing Group is looking for more members to run their upcoming season of sessions at Artspace!

The group meets one Sunday each month, 9:30am - 12:30pm
$25/artist at the door (cash or check). Please bring your own drawing materials; however, session fees cover the cost of the space and hiring a professional live model!

Artful Awakening - Journal Club

Join Cindy Ferrer for an exploration of your innerchild through art-journaling!
Artists 16yo+ can explore art journaling while embracing your inner child.
Journal prompts and a guided journey back down memory lane as you find the kid in us again through drawing, coloring and painting.

Linocut Stamp Carving with Althea Keaton
Wednesday, November 19th, 5:30-7:30pm
2nd Floor Art Room
Join Althea Keaton for an exploration of linocut printmaking from start to finish.
Linocut is a fast and fun way to learn the fundamentals of relief printmaking. In this one-day workshop, you'll learn the basics of this artform, design and carve your own linocut stamp, and hand-make prints you can share with your friends and family.
For artists 10yo+

Personal Altar Piece with Wade Boswell
One ceramics workshop, spread out over 4 days!
